Short draft • Effective date: [insert date] • Operator: [insert legal entity name]

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Lume mobile application and related services. By creating an account or using Lume, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About Lume

Lume is a mobile application for performers. It provides access to professional-directory listings, accommodation listings contributed by the community, craft guidance, saved items, ratings and reviews, and account features. Some features are available only to Premium members.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping access to your email account secure. Lume may use email-based one-time passcodes for verification and login. You must not misuse another person’s account or attempt to access parts of the service without permission.

3. Premium membership

Premium currently costs £4.99 per month or £49.99 per year, with the first month free for new members. Unless cancelled before the end of the free period, the selected plan renews automatically. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Failed payments, retries, upgrades, downgrades and refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable app store and payment-provider rules.

Prices or plan features may change in the future. Where required, Lume will provide notice before changes take effect.

4. Professional directory

The Network directory contains information about third-party professionals and businesses. Lume does not guarantee that a listed provider is suitable for you, available, or able to provide a particular outcome. Website, email and map actions may take you outside Lume, where the third party’s own terms and privacy practices apply.

5. Accommodation listings

Accommodation listings are community-contributed. Lume does not make, manage or guarantee accommodation bookings. Booking, contact and website actions may redirect you to a third-party provider. You should independently check the accuracy, suitability, availability and safety of any accommodation before making arrangements.

Members who submit accommodation must provide accurate information and must not upload unlawful, misleading, malicious or infringing content. Submitted listings may be reviewed before publication, and Lume may approve, reject, edit, withdraw or remove content where appropriate.

6. Ratings, reviews and user content

Ratings and reviews must reflect genuine opinions and experiences. You may not manipulate ratings, impersonate another person, post abusive or unlawful material, or submit content that infringes another person’s rights. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant Lume permission to host, display and process it for operating the service.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Lume for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive activity.

Do not attempt to interfere with the app, security controls, accounts or underlying systems.

Do not scrape, copy or commercially exploit Lume content except where permitted by law or written agreement.

Do not upload malware, harmful code, or content that violates privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights.

8. Moderation and account action

Lume may review reported or submitted content and may reject, remove or restrict content where it breaches these Terms, community guidelines or applicable law. Where appropriate, Lume may also suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.

9. Availability and liability

Lume is provided on an “as available” basis. While reasonable care will be taken to operate the service, uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [insert legal entity name] is not responsible for losses caused by third-party professionals, accommodation providers, external websites, app stores or services outside its control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the service, legal requirements or business arrangements change. Material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales / insert applicable jurisdiction], subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Questions about these Terms can be sent to [insert contact email].
